Operation Photo Rescue

I’ve recently joined the Operation Photo Rescue organization as a volunteer photo restorer. This volunteer organization was started after Hurricane Katrina.

I had read about OPR before, and then after the recent flooding in the Winona, MN area (Flood Gallery #1, Flood Gallery #2), I decided to volunteer my services. I’ve been in contact with OPR and they will be coming to Winona to assist people with getting their photos repaired that were damaged in the flood.

Here’s my first photo restoration that I did for OPR. I started with a pretty easy one, just to go through the entire process of downloading the original, uploading the restored photo and contacting the proper people at OPR. (Click the photos for an enlarged view.)
